Creation to Cross (creationtocross.com) is an illustrated timeline of Bible and world history. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: you can use the whole site without giving us anything, we never sell your information, and there is no advertising.

Using the site without signing in

You do not need an account to explore the timeline, the map, the moments or the Bible reader. Notes, saved places, verse highlights, trails and reading settings you make without signing in are kept only in your own browser (its local storage). They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Signing in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account ID. We ask for nothing else, and we cannot see your Google password, contacts, files or any other Google data.

We use this only to recognise your account and to show you who is signed in. While you are signed in, we store your notes, saved places, verse highlights, trails and reading settings with your account so they follow you to any device where you sign in. Signing in places one cookie in your browser that keeps you signed in; signing out removes it.

Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Email updates

If you join the "Stay on the trail" list, we keep your email address and the updates you chose, and use them only to send those updates. You can ask to be removed at any time.

Links you share

When you share a note, verse or trail, its contents are written into the link itself; we do not store a copy. Anyone who has the link can read what it contains, so share it only with people you want to see it.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent or trade your information.
• We do not show ads, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
• We do not share your information with anyone except the services that run the site, listed below, or where the law requires it.

Services that run the site

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores account data and the email list. Like any web host, it handles basic request information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits so we can see how the site is used. It does not use cookies or build a profile of you.
• Google provides "Sign in with Google". Google's sign-in button is loaded only when you open the sign-in option, and Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep account data while your account is in use. You can delete any note, highlight or trail yourself from "My notes", and the deletion is saved to your account. To have your whole account and everything stored with it removed, or to leave the email list, contact us as below and we will delete it.

Children

The site can be enjoyed by all ages, but signing in and the email list are meant for people 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted on the site.
